Chrono Trigger DS Walkthrough X. The Denadoro Mountains Items to Find 300 Gold (x2), Athenian Water (x2), Ether, 500 Gold, Mirage Hand, Golden Helm, Mid-Ether (x4), Mid-Potion (x2), 600 Gold, Shelter, Broken Masamune Blade, Silver Stud, Silver Earring, Hero's Badge, Broken Masamune Hilt. Enemies Ogan, Bellbird, Freelancer, Edible Frog, Fangtooth, Masa (boss), Mune (boss), Masa & Mune (boss). From the entrance to the mountains, head north and engage this initial party of Ogans and Bellbirds in battle.
Bellbirds should be killed in one hit, so as to avoid their pesky confusion-inducing counterattack. Ogans, on the other hand, are extremely weak, both defensively and offensively, unless they have a gigantic mallet in their hands. If they do, their strength increases exponentially, and they become both a dangerous offensive threat and a sturdy example of defensive perfection. This is easy to avoid, however. Simply stick Lucca in your party and have her attack any given mallet-wielding Ogan with a fiery spell. Doing so will disintegrate their hammer, again making them easy targets for slaying. Without her in your party, this place becomes a lot more difficult than it has to be, so save yourself the annoyance and stick her in your party.
After defeating the initial enemy party and grabbing the 300 Gold from the partially-obscured treasure chest on your left, you can head north, where you'll have a choice of either going northward via a pass on your right or via a ladder on your left. After defeating the mallet-wielding Ogan, opt to take the path on the right first. Doing so will lead to a dead end, but a treasure chest mostly-hidden in the trees on the left side of the path contains a Mirage Hand, a new weapon you should equip on Robo immediately. Head back to the previous area and take the ladder on the left. Head into this area and fight the Freelancer and mallet-holding Ogan, and then go southward. This will lead to a cliff overlooking a previous area, but you'll be able to find Athenian Water in the treasure chest there. After grabbing it and adding it to your inventory, proceed back to the previous area and head north over the bridge, procuring the Ether in a chest on your left as you go.
Once over the bridge, continue up the ladder to your left, defeat the strong-and-weak Ogan combo that attacks you, and grab the 500 Gold from the treasure chest they were guarding. Head east over another bridge from here, and follow the zig-zagging, yet completely linear pathway as it goes eastward. Fight a lone Ogan and continue northward up a path on the east side of the screen, which will ultimately lead you to an adjacent area to the east. This shadowy pathway will initially lead rightward before branching to the north at two different locations. Bear northward at the first chance you get.
Fight off the Freelancers and grab the Mid-Ether from the treasure chest. Then, proceed back to the east-leading pathway and go north at the next location, but not before grabbing the Athenian Water from the treasure chest. After climbing up the rope ladder, grab the Golden Helm from the treasure chest, and immediately equip it on Crono for a considerable defensive boost.
Head up to the top of this area and head westward. Before going west into the next area, be sure to go south and explore the dead end there, where a Mid-Potion can be acquired. In the next area, quickly run northward, dodging the ninja stars as they're hurled by an angry Freelancer across the chasm. Don't hesitate to stop and grab the Mid-Ether from the treasure chest as you dodge, however. After bearing eastward and permanently away from the ninja star threat, you'll be attacked by subsequent parties of aggressive Freelancers in more traditional combat. Defeat both parties as you head northward, and don't miss the treasure chest on the right containing 600 Gold as you go.
Then, head westward and emerge from the shadows cast by the trees in the next area. One fight will lead into the next here automatically, until you've fought four or five battles against Ogans and Freelancers alike. Before heading westward into the next area after such a brutal fray, you may want to heal your party. Grab the 300 Gold booty from the treasure chest to your left, and then head upward. Be extremely careful here that you don't get sucked into the gentle drift of the water moving towards the waterfall.
Falling down those waterfalls will force you to traverse the path up the mountain again, and that'd be a long and extremely annoying affair. Instead, head to the north, grabbing the Mid-Potion from the chest. As you get back on dry land to the west, pass by the clueless ninja star-chucking Freelancer and grab the Mid-Ether from the treasure chest nearby. Then, head west into the adjoining area. We're almost home free. Head westward across the wooden bridge after fighting a trio of weak Bellbirds.
The creature on the other side of the bridge will talk to you as if it was nothing, allowing you to go southward, back into a wooded area. Here, consider using a Shelter at the save point, and save your game. Then, proceed southward, grabbing the Mid-Ether from the treasure chest before going to the east. Quickly dodge another Freelancer's projectiles as you run to the south. Here, the Freelancer and his posse of mallet-wielding Ogans will confront you in a substantial battle when you try to climb the ladder. Defeat this party, grabbing the Shelter from a nearby treasure chest, and then go north into the cave you encounter.
You'll run into twin boys named Masa and Mune, who guard the sacred sword, their namesake. And just like that, these two characters battle you. Masa and Mune will fight you in two separate battles. That is to say, Masa and Mune will fight as individuals against your party in the first fight, and then join together as one for the second fight.
Strangely, the first fight is the more difficult one, since not only do you have to deal with two characters, but you have to deal with the fact that, no matter how you attack these foes, they'll counterattack each and every time. Dump healing items and healing spells into staying alive here - there simply no way around the constant counterattacking. However, when you've dealt enough damage to them collectively (just focus on one or the other, as they take damage together even when they fight as one), they'll come together to form a common foe known as Masa & Mune.
This monster represents a difficult fight indeed, but not one that is insurmountable. His regular attacks are easy enough to brush off with a Potion, Mid-Potion or healing spell. It's when he unleashes his special attack that strikes everyone in the party for critical, 100-200 HP of damage each that things start to become unraveled a bit. Considerable time should be spent in healing after this attack is unleashed before resuming your attack on Masa & Mune. After the fight, you can examine the sword and make off with the Broken Masamune Blade.
Masa and Mune will even help you leave the mountains automatically. If you'd like to procure a Silver Stud and a Silver Earring, however, read on. Both of these accessories are extremely useful (the stud raises HP by 25%, while the Earring halves MP use on spells), so it's worth the trouble. Do you remember the waterfalls we earlier told you to avoid? Well, now you'll want to return to them and fall down the waterfall, making sure to bear leftward down a side waterfall so that you fall atop a cliff to your left.
Open the chest there to find the Stud, and then follow the pathway around and in the water, grabbing the Earring as you go. Back on the world map, you'll want to head south, back to Porre.
Use the inn to heal your tired characters, and then head to Tata's House, at the southern end of the village. Here, talk to young Tata and he'll hand over the Hero's Badge, which he admits he found. Well, what to do from here is obvious. Head westward, back to the Cursed Woods, and re-traverse the linear pathway there. Reenter Frog's subterranean hideout and speak with him. When you speak to Frog, he'll recognize his badge that you got from Tata, but still declines the ability to wield Masamune.
Remember that treasure chest he was blocking before? Open it to reveal the Broken Masamune Hilt.
It's with this that we will ultimately forge again the mystical Masamune.

Chrono Trigger DS Walkthrough IX. A Cursed Journey Items to Find Spiced Jerky, Strength Capsule (x2), Magic Capsule, Mid-Ether (x2), Mid-Potion, Shelter, Magic Scarf. Enemies Skeleton, Edible Frog, Fangtooth, Ozzie (boss), Zombor (boss).
Just like in 1000, Truce Canyon is due north of Guardia. Go into Guardia and speak with the various residences at houses, the market (though you won't want to buy anything), and at Truce Inn. You can also go through Guardia Forest to get to the castle if you so desire, and even visit the cathedral, but none of this should be done just yet. Rather, your ultimate goal is to reach Zenan Bridge, located southwest of Guardia, on a peninsula. When you arrive at Zenan Bridge, you'll find Guardia's soldiers ready for a fight. But when you speak to the golden-armored Commander, he'll tell you that his troops are hungry, and they're fresh out of food.
With that pertinent information, now you should traverse Guardia Forest (you shouldn't run into any enemies). Once you've reached the castle via the forest, speak to everyone within, including the bed-ridden King, resting after being injured in battle. But to procure food for the Commander and his hungry soldiers, you'll need to visit the kitchen in the basement of the castle. The King's Chef and the Commander are feuding brothers, as you likely learned earlier. Though the chef will resist giving you food, once you speak to him and attempt to leave the castle thereafter, he'll hand over Spiced Jerky for the troops. He'll throw in a Strength Capsule for good measure, as well! With these items in hand, you're free to head out of the castle, back through the forest, and then back to the peninsula, where Zenan Bridge is.
Guardia has taken more casualties, but when you speak to the Commander and give him his food, he and his men are rejuvenated for the near-impossible task ahead of dealing with a far greater number of soldiers. But you'll still need to help out, pressing up the bridge yourself. You'll run into a character named Ozzie, who will join Skeletons for a few battles as they try to eliminate your party. Deal with the Skeletons by way of magic; Ozzie will simply have to be struck and scared off in each fight in order to proceed. It's when Ozzie reaches the end of the bridge that he flees, but not before summoning a powerful creature for you to deal with named Zombor. Though only represented as one enemy, Zombor actually has two segments that must be attacked, and these attacks bring different weaknesses. You'll generally need to feel Zombor out, but as far as magic attacks are concerned (which are highly recommended on this fight), you'll want to use Ice and Water attacks on the top half and Fire and Lightning attacks on the bottom half.
Chrono Trigger Ds Walkthrough
Mixing those up will result in you slightly healing Zombor instead of damaging him, which obviously works to your disadvantage. Regardless of this danger, the fight is difficult throughout, so be patient and stay well-healed. Magic is absolutely integral here, but there are certain techs (like Robo's arm attacks and Crono's Cyclone attack) that are fairly effective as well. With Zombor slain, you're free to head across to the far side of the bridge.
Southeast of the bridge, a clearly-visible settlement can be seen. This place is known as Dorino. It has a bustling inn, a single residence to explore (where the Naga Bromide you found earlier can be traded for access to a Magic Capsule), and the village elder's house. If you need to use an inn, be sure to go back to Truce and use theirs. It's five times cheaper than the one at Dorino, so it's worth the trek.
Several villagers will let you know that the Hero destined to confront Magus is in another village located to the south. That village is known as Porre, and we'll head there shortly, but en route, you'll want to stop at the lone house surrounded by some thin woods. This location, Fiona's Villa, contains two treasure chests, each with a Mid-Ether within. Be sure to procure those two items and speak to the lone resident of the house before continuing southward. Porre has a more reasonably-priced inn for your use, present or future, as well as several other houses full of people to speak with. You'll want to definitely visit the market, at the very least, where you can find a Strength Capsule on the floor.
What's more, you can purchase new helmets for the female characters in your crew, and new armor for all. However, all indications are that the hero we seek has gone to the Cursed Woods, due west of Porre. When you're healed, well-equipped and ready to go, journey westward and enter the Cursed Woods. As soon as you enter, defeat the initial party of Edible Frogs and Fangtooths (use magic on the former, physical attacks on the latter) and claim the Mid-Potion from the nearby treasure chest. Further up the path, more fights with Edible Frogs and Fangtooths will reveal a second treasure chest, this one containing a Shelter. If, for whatever reason, you're having difficulty with the Edible Frogs and Fangtooth foes, consider the following technique.
Edible Frogs have their name for a reason. Attack a Fangtooth with a substantial, but non-life threatening hit. If there's an Edible Frog alive in his party, he'll attack it, kill it, and siphon its health to heal itself. It'll do this only to Edible Frogs, and not even your own party, so that by continually attacking it as an exclusive target in the first round, all Edible Frogs can be reasonably eliminated before the threat of them attacking ever comes to fruition. Once you reach the top end of the Cursed Woods, you'll see a shimmering, shaking bush. Examine the bush and you'll find that you can walk through the back end of it, into a secret subterranean room.
Begin searching the room. You can find a Magic Scarf in the acorn treasure chest on the right, but as you approach the chest on the left, Frog appears!
This is the hero everyone is speaking of, but even when he learns of the King's injury, he refuses to help. Standing in front of the far treasure chest so you can't gain access to it, there's little else to be done here. It appears Frog must be convinced his help is needed. And that help is found in the Denadoro Mountains, north of Porre, and due east of Dorino.
Chrono Trigger DS Walkthrough XIII. A Daring Rescue Items to Find Mid-Ether (x3), Mid-Potion, Mesozoic Mail (x2), Hi-Potion, Triceratopper (x2), Athenian Water, Potion, Hi-Ether. Enemies Cave Ape, Schist, Avian Rex, Reptite, Terasaur, Volcanite, Nizbel II (boss), Azala (boss), Black Tyranno (boss). The party surprises Ayla when they suddenly show up back in her time, but she takes the party in. However, tragedy has struck her village, and the Reptites we fought earlier are lashing back at her village. Speak to everyone in her village to learn that a bad fire has happened up north, and then go north to the site of the fire, Laruba Ruins.
With Laruba leveled by the Reptites, no one is too happy with Ayla (or the rest of the party). However, Ayla vows to make the Reptites pay for what they've done and rushes off to the Dactyl Nest, northeast from Laruba Ruins.
Naturally, you'll find new enemies in the Dactyl Nest. On the first screen, you'll find three new types of enemy. All three can easily be slain with physical attacks, with Avian Rex and Cave Apes being the easier of the three enemies to defeat. Schists, on the other hand, are pesky foes that must be killed quickly, preferably with two techs cast back-to-back.
Striking a Schist without killing it leaves you open for eventual party-wide attacks that can do moderate damage. This opening area simply necessitates you going forward to climb up some rocks to an area above, all the while fighting enemy parties. Once on the raised pathway, grab the Mid-Ether and Mid-Potion from the two treasure chests you run across as the path you follow ultimately winds you to an area to the east. Here, the idea is the same as it was on the last screen. You'll want to climb upward whenever you arrive at a wall with a rock ladder built into it.
You'll fight identical enemies as were found in the previous area as well, so expect no surprises here. The one treasure chest you'll want to grab the contents from as you're about to climb to the highest point on the screen contains Mesozoic Mail. Go ahead and equip that on Crono.
In the subsequent area, the party will find Ayla. Approach here, and the Dactyl will carry the party away. You'll have to control where the Dactyl goes manually.
There's not much else to see on the world map that you haven't already seen, except for the Sun Shrine located on the island in the northeast corner of the map. Otherwise, Tyranno Lair, located in the center of the lava-covered area near the center of the map is your destination. When you arrive, head forward, fight the enemy party, and then go through the skull on the right side (you won't yet be able to access the one on the left). Head up the stairs to the next floor. On the next floor, head downward, fight the enemy party, and then proceed to the right. Hit the switch along the wall en route, and the villagers captured from the Reptites will run to safety.
You, however, will continue towards the ever-increasing danger ahead. On the top floor, you'll encounter Ayla's friend Kino in a cell guarded by more Reptites.
After the Reptites are defeated, examine the cell door and Ayla will bust Kino out of there. As a thank you, Kino runs down to the ground floor and opens up the other previously-closed skull. You can now explore the western half of the lair. Be sure to grab the Mid-Ether from the treasure chest in Kino's former cell!
Run up to the floor above. Head to the intersection and head left. Fight the enemy parties on both sides the old-fashioned way, or use the switches near each to make them plummet to the floor below.
When both parties are killed, take the door on the right side. This will bring you to an outside portion of the castle.
Fight the Volanites you encounter with the same physical attacks you've been using on the rest of the enemy parties you've thus far encountered here, and then take the door to your right back inside. Here, two treasure chests can be found. The one on the left contains a Hi-Potion, but the one on the right, if opened, will drop you in the same cell Ayla's villager friends were held in.
While it's easy to get out of it and climb back up here, you might as well ignore the chest completely. Head back the way you came, and this time take the door on your left, killing another enemy party and heading into another door on your left once your adversaries have been slain. This room is all about teleporting around using the various hidden devices to ultimately get to the door on the northwest end of the room. However, there are four treasure chests you'll want to encounter before leaving the room, containing Athenian Water, a Potion, a Triceratopper (to equip on Crono) and more Mesozoic Mail, which can be equipped on whomever you want. With that, you'll then want to head upstairs, and then back outside via the door you find up there. Head rightward past the locked door on this outside balcony. There are a surprising amount of enemy encounters here considering the short distance you're crossing, but they're all with enemy parties comprised of familiar foes.
Once you pass the locked door, go north through the door on the far right. Hit both switches in this small room to not only open the skull door ahead, but to encourage an enemy party to come out and fight you.
Once it's felled, go through the skull door and hit the switch on the wall. This switch opened the locked door outside.
How to install ffmpeg on windows. So, head back outside, fight a few more enemy parties, and head on in to the previously-locked door. Nizbel, a foe of yours from earlier in the game, is standing directly in front of the doorway.
The following is a list of games that support (),, and () display modes. Gc iso download. For region games, the default video output is normally (50 Hz) while some games provide an option to use PAL60 (/60 Hz). The GameCube's 480p signal, which is the highest quality video it can provide, is only natively supported by certain region games and can only be utilized if specific hardware is provided.
However, when you speak to him, he lets you pass. How mysterious. Well, it won't be mysterious for long. Use the save point ahead to heal your party with a Shelter, and to save your game. Then, go north to the door. When you do, Nizbel II will approach the party and engage in battle after all! This battle is incredibly easy as long as you understand how to negate Nizbel II's one true advantage.
When attacked, with either physical or magical attacks, Nizbel II gets a defensive boost. If you hit him five times or so, you'll barely do any damage at all. To negate this, use Lightning or Lightning II on him, which Crono will know.
Meanwhile, have a powerful attacker like Ayla use Cat Attack. She'll do less and less damage as the rounds pass even if Lightning is used, but she'll do more damage than if Lightning wasn't used. When Nizbel II has taken enough damage, he'll unleash the saved-up electrical power, which will necessitate heavy healing from your third support character (preferably Robo or Marle). Continue this pattern throughout the fight, and you'll have no issues.
When Nizbel II is slain, go back to the save point in the middle of the room, where you can use a Shelter and save your game before proceeding upstairs and then outside. You have to work your way rightward along this portion of the castle, skipping the first corridor that heads rightward, since it's temporarily locked. Instead, once you've fought your way to the door on the right, you'll find yourself in a room with three switches. Hit the one on top first to make a save point appear, where you can again save your game. Then, we suggest using the two other switches to make the enemies appear in the room (as opposed to dropping them through a chasm), since you'll want plenty of experience wherever you can get it.
Thereafter, examine the closed skull door in front of you to open it, grab the Hi-Ether on the other side, and then examine the switch on the wall before heading back outside. The door to your left that was previously locked, but the switch you hit inside has opened it.
So, go up to the door, fighting the Terasaurs that appear. Once inside, you'll run into Azala, and this time you'll finally have it out with him. Grab the Mid-Ether and Triceratopper from the chests on each side of Azala's throne, and then follow him outside.
It appears Azala has some help for this fight, a gigantic creature named Black Tyranno. This battle appears to be much harder than it actually is. Azala is nothing more than an aside in this fight, so he should most certainly be dealt with first. In fact, no attacks should go Black Tyranno's way until Azala is finished, because while Azala is always vulnerable to attack, Black Tyranno won't be until well into the battle. Once Azala is dispatched, you can then focus on Black Tyranno.
Feel free to attack him for bits and pieces of HP, but you should concentrate on healing your party and keeping them healed for what lies ahead. When a countdown begins, Black Tyranno will lower his defensive power as he raises his attack power. It's at this point that your attackers should unleash powerful techs. For us, Crono used Cleave and Ayla used Cat Attack. Consider using Marle as your third character here, since her ability to heal is huge in this fight; plus, she can cast Haste, which is very useful as well.
